Hi Mahdi,

Thanks so much for extending your sympathy. This is really devastating for all of us Filipinos, we share the grieving of our countrymen who've lost their loved ones, livelihood, and homes. Currently, the death toll is at 289 people dead and still counting, 300,000 families displaced and millions of goods and livelihood destroyed.

A Donation drive has been started by most of the Filipino Community here in Dubai. There are donation boxes set up in areas here in Dubai.

I urge the members to donate whatever they can to victims of this calamity. No matter how small, this will greatly help the Filipino families that are victims back home.

I have also already started a donation drive in our company.

DONATIONS IN KIND

1. For those who will donate food stuff, medicine, clothing, blankets, etc. Filcom have set up the following drop off points on Friday Oct. 2, 2009 between 3:00 - 8:00 PM. Donations will be collected for shipping on the same day.

a. Reef Mall - box located at EX-BOOK Plus ground floor near Dome Cafe
b. West Zone Deira
c. West Zone Satwa
d. West Zone Karama
